Leeds United have not given up on signing Ryan Kent from Rangers in the summer transfer window, according to . Leeds, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, had made a bid of £10 million for the former Liverpool winger, but Scottish Premiership side Rangers had turned it down.
However, the Whites will not abandon their pursuit of the 23-year-old winger. It has been reported that Leeds are planning to make a bid of £14 million for the youngster and will offer him a weekly salary of £50,000. The West Yorkshire club will hope this is enough to bring Kent to Elland Road this summer.
Kent spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Rangers from Liverpool and made the move to Ibrox permanent in the summer of 2019. The 23-year-old is an important player in manager Steven Gerrard’s side, and the Ibrox club may not be willing to sell him this summer.
