According to , Chelsea are about to sanction the £750,000 sale of young midfielder Josh McEachran to Championship Brentford. The 22-year-old is set to sign a four-year deal with the Bees to become their sixth signing of the summer.
Promise
McEachran was supposed to be the poster boy of the Chelsea academy. He won the FA Youth Cup with Chelsea in 2010 and also the under-17 European Championship in the same year.
The midfielder showed such promise when he broke into the Chelsea squad at just 17-years-old.
He was handed a lucrative five-year deal with the Blues in 2011 and was expected to build on some promising early performances. Unfortunately for the youngster he we…
West Brom have announced that goalkeeper Boaz Myhill has agreed terms on a new two-year contract at the Hawthorns.
The former Wales international joined the club from Hull City in 2010, but has found regular first-team opportunities hard to come by.
He was afforded an extended run in the side towards the end of last season following Ben Foster s knee injury, and on Thursday the club confirmed the 32-year-old had put pen to paper on a fresh deal.
It s great to get my future sorted out, he said. It s never easy being a goalkeeper when you re not in the team but the Premier League is the place you want to be in.
I enjoyed the final few months of the season and tried to do my best during that period.
Pre-season has been tough but now we are begin…
Bitter rivals Sampdoria and Genoa are locked in the battle for Inter Milan full-back Yuto Nagatomo, .
The Nerazzurri are prepared to cash in on their fringe player and they will probably consider offers in the region of €3.5 million.
And everything suggests that Nagatomo will be staying in Serie A, with Sampdoria and Genoa currently leading the chase for his signature.
Both teams are a bit short of options in wing positions and it is not that surprising they are showing interest in the Japan star seeing as he can successfully operate on either flank.
Yuto Nagatomo, 28, has spent last four years at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, having initially joined on loan from Cesena before Inter purchased his contract.
He has made a total of 121 Serie A outings f…
Barcelona will move to sign Manchester City’s Jesus Navas, .
The La Liga giants are looking to strengthen their attacking options when the transfer window reopens, and have identified the former Sevilla man as one of a number of targets.
The winger has started all four of City’s games so far this season, though his first team opportunities are set to be more limited due to the arrival of Kevin de Bruyne from Wolfsburg.
Since moving to England in the summer of 2013, the twenty-nine year old has since racked up ninety-nine appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in all competitions, scoring seven goals.
Internationally, he has been capped thirty-five times for Spain, scoring three goals and was part of their victorious World Cup 2010 and Euro …
Brazil edged out Germany 1-0 at the Olympiastadion on Tuesday evening in an international friendly.
Tite s men met the reigning world champions in Berlin for the first time since their 7-1 thumping at the hands of their opponents in the 2014 World Cup semi-finals. On the night, Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring in the 37th minute as he found space only yards from goal to nod Brazil ahead and eventually claim the victory.
Germany meanwhile suffered their first loss since the 2016 European Championships.
Tight opening in Berlin
Brazil were gifted the best opportunity within the first 15 minutes as Coutinho capitalised on poor play in the German backline. The Barcelona man s low cross though was just cut out before it reached Gabriel Jesus.

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire paid tribute to the brilliant job Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing as manager, adamant he has overseen an improvement in their fortunes.
Maguire is in his second season at United, having joined in 2019 in a reported £80million deal, making him the most expensive defender of all time.
Solskjaer guided United back into the Champions League last term, though their third-place finish with 66 points was still seen as somewhat underwhelming given the significant amount of money spent on the team and the fact title-winners Liverpool ended up with 99 points.
Although the Red Devils failed to get out of their Champions League group, with Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig going through instead, United do look likely to improve signifi…
Newcastle s new director of football Joe Kinnear will make signing a proven striker his first priority at the club.
Kinnear, who managed Newcastle for four-and-a-half months in the 2008-09 Premier League season, has been an unpopular appointment and did his chances of winning over the club s fans no good in an outspoken radio interview on Monday.
The 66-year-old mispronounced the name of several of Newcastle s players and told the St. James Park faithful that he was more intelligent than them.
But while Newcastle s supporters are still to be won over by Kinnear s appointment, the former Wimbledon boss who will work closely with chief scout Graham Carr, in support to manager Alan Pardew will be working away on his first task at the club, which is to sign a regular goal-…

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett says the club will be targeting an immediate return to the Championship when the new season begins.
Wolves became the first club to suffer back-to-back relegations from the Premier League to the third tier of English football since Swindon Town in 1993-94 and 1994-95 – last season, finishing four points adrift of safety.
While a host of the club s big-earners and internationals are set to leave, Welshman Jackett, who was appointed on Friday, is remaining positive, insisting his squad will be going all out to win promotion from League One.
We want to get promoted this year, Jackett told the BBC.
Is it going to be easy? No, but it s a challenge that we are relishing and looking forward to.
