Ronaldo rejects contract speculation

Cristiano Ronaldo has moved to refute rumours that he has signed a new contract at Real Madrid.

The Portuguese forward joined the Spanish giants in 2009 from Manchester United, helping them to a Copa del Rey crown in 2011 and the La Liga title in 2012.
Madrid fell short of expectations last season, with manager Jose Mourinho parting company with the club after a campaign in which they finished 15 points behind Barcelona and were knocked out in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Despite those disappointments, speculation has been rife that Ronaldo is to extend his stay at the Bernabeu and agree to a new five-year deal.
However, the 28-year-old has been quick to stress that the reports surrounding his future at the club are incorrect.
